APRIL 24TH- Bobcats lose to Hanceville 4-2 in first round of playoffs, Dustan King suffered the loss on the hill for the Cats. King added a solo HR in the 3rd inning. Chase Welborn was the only other Bobcat with hits, Chase went 3-4 with 3 singles and a run scored! This moved the Bobcats record to 25-11 on the year.A school record!  This was the last game for the 5 PC Seniors- Chase Welborn, Andy Prince, Blake Entrekin, Dustan King and Cliff Pounders.

APRIL 20TH- Bobcats bounce back from defeat to beat Haleyville 9-4 behind the pitching of Tyler Harris. Blake Entrekin pitched one inning of relief. Leading hitters for the Bobcats were: Andy Prince (2-3) 1 double 3 RBI's, Dustan King (2-4), and Chris Hawkins (3-3) 1 double 2 RBI's.Others adding hits were Chase Welborn (1-3) Cliff Pounders (1-3), Trey Canida (1-3) 1 rbi,  and Robby McGalliard (1-3) 1 rbi.
APRIL 20TH- Bobcat suffer first loss in 16 games to Colbert Heights 17-6, Cliff Pounders suffered only his 2nd loss of the year. Leading hitters were: Andy Prince (4-4), Dustan King (2-4) 1 double, and Griffin Harris (2-2).Chase Welborn (1-4) 1 rbi,
Cliff Pounders (1-3), Chris Hawkins (1-4) Jarred Pierce (1-2) 1 rbi on a sac fly for those scoring at home* ;-).

APRIL 19TH-Bobcats move to 7-1 in area with a 5-3 win over Carbon Hill, Dustan King runs his record to 6-4 for the year  going 7 innings striking out 12 with only 1 walk.
Leading hitters were-Blake Entrekin (2-3), King (1-3) 1 triple 2 RBI's, Cliff Pounders (1-2) 1 double, Jarred Pierce (1-3) 1 rbi, and Griff (E) Harris (1-3).

SENIOR DAY VS WINSTON COUNTY- Bobcats last regular season home game - win 11-7, Dustan King picked up the win putting his record at 5-4, Andy Prince threw one inning as Blake Entrekin did also, Cliff Pounders finished the game for the Cats! All pitchers comibined to strike out 12 WC batters. This win moved the Cats to 6-1 in the area. Senior catcher Chase Welborn was 2-4 with a double, Senior center fielder Andy Prince was 1-4, Senior pitcher Dustan King was 1-4, Senior 1st basemen  Cliff Pounders was 3-3. All the Seniors had atleast 1 stolen base in this game. It was truely a day to remember for the Seniors. Brother Sammy Taylor (Mt View Baptist Church) led the ceremony  for these 5 young men! We thank Bro Sammy for his time and effort and thank these 5 Seniors for a great year and some wonderful memories.

April 13th -Red Bay, Dustan King went 3 innings  striking out 4 allowing 4 hits and 4 runs, Blake Entrekin came in relief and pitched 3 innings to get the win as the Bobcats beat Red Bay 15-5. Chase Welborn and King led the Cats at the plate going 3-5 (Welborn) and 3-4 (King).
Game 2 Griff (E) Harris picks up the win going 5 innings striking out  7 allowing   5 hits,
Harris also led the cats at the plate going 2-3, in the 5th inning Coach Beck made the move to let all the Seniors hit, this resulting in 9 runs in the 5th. All 9 batters scored in the 5th. I dont recall that ever happening since I have kept book down through the years.

April 12th- Sulligent- Bobcats get big area win vs Sulligent 9-2, this win ties the Bobcats and Sulligent for 1st place in the area*. Cliff Pounders went the distance for the cats striking out 7 allowing only 5 hits. Leading hitters for the Cats were: Blake Entrekin 3-4 with a double and 3 RBI's, Dustan King 3-4 with 2 doubles, and Trey Canida was 2-3.
There was no game 2, Sulligent chose to forfeit the game 2, well actually they just loaded the bus and went home! The umpires told them if they left it would result as a forfeit. I as a fan of high school baseball thought the Coach at Sulligent had more class than to stoop to this level! Guess we live and learn.

April 10th- Bobcats beat 5A Russellville in 5 innings 14-4, Tyler Harris picked up the win going 3 2/3 innings. Cliff Pounders finished the game in relief. Leading hitters :
Chase Welborn 2-3, Andy Prince 3-3 with a double, Dustan King 2-4 with a solo HR, and Chris Hawkins was 2-3.

Bobcats clinch a spot in the state playoffs with win over Lamar Co on Tuesday April 9th, Dustan King picks up the win to even his record at 4-4,King went the distance striking out 11 Lamar Co batters. The cats leading hitters were Jarred Pierce going 3-4, Chase Welborn was 2-3, Andy Prince was 2-5, Blake Entrekin added a double off the the left-center fence. King and Trey Canida both had one hit apiece.

Bobcats win Franklin County Tournament- 1st game Bobcats 9 Belgreen 0. Tyler Harris gets the win for the Cats going 6 innings, Blake Entrekin pitched the last inning. Leading hitters for the Cats were Dustan King 2-4 with a 2 run Homer. Cliff Pounders also 2-4.
Game 2 vs Red Bay in Championship game- Bobcats explode to a 19-1 victory! Cliff Pounders picks up the win pitching 2 innings, Dustan King then pitched 2 innings, and Randy Cochran pitched the 5th striking out 2 Red Bay batters to finish the game. Leading the Cats at the plate were King going 3-5 with a double and 5 RBI's, Andy Prince 2-3 w/3 RBI's, and Chris Hawkins was 2-2.

April 2nd Bobcats get big area win against Carbon Hill 6-2.
Dustan King gets the win striking out 14 allowing 0 earned runs in the effort.
Griff (e) Harris was leading hitter going 2-3, Chase Welborn, Dustan King, Cliff Pounders, Trey Canida, Jarred Pierce and Chris Hawkins all added singles.


In game 2 which was not a area game Bobcats win 4-3, Cliff Pounders  goes 6 innings striking out 7 for the win. Blake Entrekin relieved Pounders to get the save.
Matt Thomas was leading hitter for the cats going 2-2, Welborn, Entrekin, Trey Canida all had 1 hit, with Entrekins a double.

April 1st - Phil Campbell - Bobcats beat Hackleburg 3-2 behind pitching efforts of Tyler Harris, Cliff Pounders picked up the save for his first ! Andy Prince was 2-2 with a 2 singles one being a hit in the 6th driving in the go ahead run. Chase Welborn added the other hit for the Cats.

Mar 29th- Bobcats leave Morristown TN around 8 am, arrive at Colbert Co High School 4 PM ready to play? or not? With Dustan King on the mound Bobcats break out in the 7th inning to break open a 4-4 game to go and win 13-6. King gets the win striking out 10 CCHS batters. Blake Entrekin was 3-4 at the plate with 4 RBI's, Chase Welborn followed with a 2-3 performance, Andy Prince, Dustan King, Cliff Pounders, Chris Hawkins, Jarred Pierce and Jared Smith all added a hit apiece.
Game 2 got rained out- Cats are to commended on their efforts of not giving up after travelling all day and playing a tough Colbert County team.

Mar 28th Greeneville TN (Greeneville High School) Bobcats get 3-0 win over GHS.
Cliff Pounders with the win on the hill. Blake Entrekin was leading hitter going 2-4, Dustan King 1-3 with a 2 run homer in the 6th inning and also had the other RBI in the 1st with a sac-fly down the rf line to the 1st basemen. Chase Welborn, Andy Prince, and Robby McGalliard all added singles.
In game 2 GHS comes back and beats Bobcats 15-5, Andrew Rollins suffers the loss.
King was 2-3, Cliff Pounders was 2-2, Welborn, Hawkins both had singles and Entrekin added a double.

Mar 27th Rutledge TN (Rutledge High School) Bobcats lose 12-4, Tyler Harris takes the loss against a very good hitting Rutledge team. Hitters for the Cats were Andy Prince 2-3 with a triple, Dustan King 2-3 with a monster Homer to straight away centerfield, Blake Enterkin was 1-4, Cliff Pounders 1-3, Jarred Pierce 1-3, and Robby McGalliard 1-3.

Mar 25-Newport,TN (Cocke Co High School) Bobcats lose 6-4, Dustan King suffered the loss, leading hitters for the Cats were; Andy Prince 2-4, Chase Welborn, Blake Entrekin, Dustan King, and Jarred Pierce all had one hit a piece, Enterkins hit was a triple.
In game 2 against CCHS -Bobcats lose 15-5, Cliff Pounders took the loss- hitters in this game were Dustan King 2-3 with one double.Welborn, Prince, Entrekin, Pounders, Griffin Harris and Chris Hawkins all had 1 hit a piece.

Mar 23 Phil Campbell 11 Winston Co 0
SR left hander Cliff Pounders tossed a no hitter in a 5 inning game as the Bobcats rout the Winston Co Yellowjackets. Pounders was in a zone today- he faced 17 batters -just 2 shy of a perfect game with 10 strikeouts and 0 walks. 3 errors in the field allowed the only 2 baserunners!
Leading hitters for the cats were:
Blake Enterkin 2-4 (1 double)
Dustan King 2-4 (1 hr)
Trey Canida 2-3
Robby McGalliard and Jared Smith both added doubles.

Mar 19-Phil Campbell 6 Lamar Co 3
Dustan King picks up his first win  allowing 4 hits, 10 strikeouts in7 innings pitched.
King also had 3 RBI's at the plate  going 2-4
Blake Entrekin was also 2-4 , others adding hits were Chase Welborn 1-2 with 3 runs scored, Andy Prince 1-3 with 1 run scored, Jarred Pierce 1-3 with a run scored, and Jared Smith was 1-3.

Tyler Harris started the game going 3 innings giving up 4 hits, 4 strikeouts and 2 walks
Blake Enterkin relieved Harris in the 4th going the rest of the way, Entrekin went 4 innings giving up 3 hits, 7 strikeouts, and 4 walks.
Score was 8-6 going into the bottom of the 6th when the cats bats took fire Blake Entrekin led off the inning with a double to right, followed by Dustan Kings double down the left field line scoring Entrekin, Cliff Pounders then doubled in King with a shot down the left field line also.Griffin Harris then gets a infield hit and steals second followed by a infield hit by Tyler Harris moving Griffin to 3rd, Tyler steals 2b,  Chase Welborn singles to right driving in both runs making the score 11-8. Lamar Co battled back for 2 runs in the top of the 7th before Entrekin closed the door striking out the side.

MAR 14-Phil Campbell 5 Hackleburg 0

Cliff Pounders, Dustan King and Tyler Harris combined to shut out the Panthers on just three hits as the Bobcats(5-4) picked up the road victory.

King went the first three innings, allowing just two hits and striking out four. Pounders, who got the win, relieved King to start the fourth and struck out five while allowing just one hit in three innings of work. Harris pitched the final inning, striking out two.

Trey Canida led the Bobcats at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two doubles, an RBI and a run scored. Jarred Pierce was 1-for-3 with two RBIs and a run, and Andy Prince was 2-for-3 with a double. Chris Hawkins was 1-for-3 with an RBI and two runs scored, and Chase Welborn was 1-for-4 with a double and an RBI. Pounders added a double and a run scored.

The Bobcats broke open a scoreless game with three runs in the top of the fifth and two more in the sixth.

MAR 7- BOBCATS LOSE FIRST AREA GAME 6-2 TO SULLIGENT. DUSTAN KING TOOK THE LOSS ON THE HILL, KING WENT 2-3 AT THE PLATE TO LEAD THE CATS IN HITTING, CHRIS HAWKINS WAS ALSO 2-3 AT THE PLATE.
IN THE NIGHTCAP WHICH WASN'T A AREA GAME THE CATS BATTLED BACK TO TIE THE GAME IN THE TOP OF THE 7TH BUT LOST IN THE BOTTOM OF THE INNING (8-7). ANDY PRINCE PITCHED 6 INNINGS, AARON VOYLES RELIEVED PRINCE IN THE BOTTOM OF THE 7TH , SULLIGENT LOADED THE BASES AND THEN GOT A SINGLE TO WIN THE GAME. AT THE PLATE FOR THE CATS: BLAKE ENTREKIN WAS 2-2, GRIFFIN HARRIS 2-3, ANDY PRINCE 2-4.
